It's been a journey....

With a background in Dance and Fitness, gaining professional qualification in a wide range of Dance & Fitness disciplines,  Emily’s passion for movement inspired her to develop her understanding and knowledge of the human body. Quite simply, how it all works, the ‘connection’ and the role injury can play on movement inspired her to study & qualify as a Graduate Sports Therapist (BSc) in 2010 from UWE. Gaining a range of clinical experience both within professional sports and NHS outpatient clinics.

With a thirst for knowledge and her accreditation to BASRaT requiring continual professional development, Emily has continued to learn, to advance her practice and clinical skills, leading her to rebrand her longstanding business of ‘Ylime Dance & Fitness’ to become
‘Ylime: Holistic Wellness’.

After a significant spinal surgery late 2023 required some time out and R&R, Emily knowing the impact this would have on her future mobility, decided to further her study and qualify as a Clinical Yoga Teacher and EFT Tapping Practitioner.

‘Within my clinic I see so many people today suffering with limited mobility, pain & restriction/barriers to movement and exercise. It becomes a viscious cycle, and the fear of movement or not knowing where to start becomes overwhelming. Using Clinical Yoga within my own recovery not only helped me physically but also mentally and I want to be able to pay that knowledge forward, to help other break down the barriers and to improve overall wellness.’
